DescriptionArmenian gilders (clay) bole used to prepare surfaces for water-gilding.This is wet mixed, ready to use straight from the pot. Mix with rabbit skin glue and a little distilled water to make a high-quality bole for application.Once prepared this bole is applied to a traditional gesso surface, ready for gold or silver leaf to be applied and burnished.
